Description
Kantharos of Saint-Valentine class. On one face central panel of black on red and white on black feathered scales with side stripes of V's and horizontal band of leaves below, short vertical stripes above. On other face central panel of alternating vertical stripes of black V’s on red and white V’s on black with single stripe at left of dots and hook band .below, vertical stripes above. Interior handles and lower body solidly coated; reserve band above base which solidly coated inside and out; interior of base reserved except for circular band around center.
State of Preservation
About half of base chipped off, sporadic chipping elsewhere on base; grayish incrustation on underside of base
