Description
Flat slab with overhanging cavetto molding, top surface flat with broad deep rectangular-sectioned groove. On exterior surface relief decoration: double scroll composed of scrolls at top small and bound together with horizontal band, scrolls below widely separated with Gorgoneion in space between; beneath head small double scroll the termination of bands from large scrolls above. At top curving bands extend from base of scrolls to either side and terminate in inverted palmettes
State of Preservation
One edge finished surface, broken off at other edge and bottom, large fragment broken off from cornice at finished edge. Some wear of front surface, particularly under cornice and on surface within one of the lower coils.
