Description
7-petaled palmette with small 9-petaled palmette at base flanked by opposing birds’ heads under lowest leaf on either side; broad band at base with central depression in which loops of hanging garlands. In main palmette central leaf has raised surface and surfaces of flanking leaves decorated with raised loops; eyes in birds’ head and separation between upper and lower beak articulated; in small palmette central leaf has deep depression and surfaces of leaves plain.
State of Preservation
Most of back surface chipped off; top of large palmette mostly chipped off; sporadic chipping of raised surfaces all over; heavy chipping of base at both corners and some chipping of front surface.

Clay body ca 5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow); surface on rear ca 10R 5/6 (red), on front ca 5YR 8/4 (pink) with some mottling 5YR 5/1 (gray).
