Description
Imitation in clay of bronze helmet. Rounded body rising from top of which tall, very slightly tapering cylindrical neck w finial in form of gabled roof which perforated horizontally under gable and by row of small holes around circumference of edge. Body below neck & just above base set off by horizontal rib above & below and space between ribs divided into 4 sections by single vertical raised ribs. Surfaces & ribs decorated with fine incision: on neck concentric horizontal lines, on shoulder pendant triangles below which isolated multiple zigzag devices, within ribbed sections metopes decorated with geometric patterns & surrounded by border of multiple zigzag devices; widely spaced groups of incised lines running across roof. Burnished surface.
