Description
Large fragment from Side A w Dionysus sitting on rock over which his cloak draped, .body in 3/4 view to his l, but w head turned in profile to mature satyr drinking from kantharos who stands behind him, his l leg raised on rock; elaborate multiple palmette & volute elements flank scene. Effeminate nude Dionysus w broad wreath over short curly locks defined by reserve border, dangling earring & Thracian boots; r arm leaning back on rock, l hand raised holding thyrsus. Satyr, nude w r arm raised to hold kantharos, l arm resting on bent l leg; curly hair, but head balding, pointed ears. Limited anatomical details. Drinking horn on ground between figures & dotted & fringed scarf hanging in field next to thyrsus ; floral leaf device below Dionysus. Above scene narrow reserved band, below maeander band broken intermittently w star device.

Six substantial fragments restored with black-painted plaster to stabilize.
