Description
Lid in the form of gabled roof with 4 projecting acroteria at corners. On primary façade gable filled with two cornucopiae in relief and acroteria carved as dramatic masks: heads, ? male, with crown-like headdress from which 3 long curls extend to frame face on either side; articulation of eyes, nose and mouth. Gabled surface opposite and acroteria uncarved as are sides and surfaces of gable.
State of Preservation
Considerable chipping on lower edges, edges of gable, and on top of mask acroteria, one of which reground after damage.
