Rectangular fragment from top edge of long side of sarcophagus with plain band above relief figures in an agricultural scene: in center child farmer in paenula and short tunic plowing with 2 oxen in front of 2 trees; in front of oxen fragment of another similar group, behind preserved group a winged Victory moving to the right and looking back to farmers. Carving of details crude with limited detail.
State of Preservation
Fragment clearly cut for purposes of sale, so side and bottom edges are deliberately rough pecked. Considerable wear with some chipping of carved surfaces.
