Description
Trumpet-mouthed lekythos w int mouth totally coated, ext mouth coated except on int edge of lip; at base of neck row of blobs, v stripes on shoulder; lower body & top surface of foot solidly coated; upper half of body decorated opposite handle w three upright palmettes w rudimentary incision separated by two vertical leaves, each palmette resting on pair of owl-eye-like elements representing volutes; below palmettes broad horizontal stripe and narrow reserved stripe. Band handle coated on ext fr edge of shoulder to top of neck.
State of Preservation
Mended from 4 fragments, large fragment missing from shoulder opposite handle.
